St. Kitts Tourism Authority Launches ‘Kids are VIPs’ Program
St. Kitts, a hot and sunny island in the West Indies, has always been a desirable location for families looking for a fun holiday. There are plenty of activities here for children to enjoy, such as swimming, water sports, building sandcastles on the calm, sandy beaches, hiking, snorkelling and much more. Now, thanks to a new initiative from the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, kids will have much more fun activities to choose from during the summer months. The ‘Kids Are VIPs’ program was launched in June of 2010 and offers a range of ‘activity camps’ for children between the ages of two and fifteen and their families.
Whether you are staying as a guest on the island, or are a St. Kitts real estate owner and resident, these camps give your children an opportunity to try a new sport, make a new friend, and have a fun adventure! If your child is the creative type, there are arts and crafts sessions lead by experienced teacher, or if they enjoy the outdoors you can sign them up for island tours and hikes. For the more adventurous, there is thrilling water sports lessons and zip lining!
To complement these children’s camps, many of the local hotels and restaurants across St. Kitts are offering discounts specifically for children. In several hotels, such as the Marriot and the Ocean Terrace Inn, children under 12 can stay free and eat free when staying with an adult. Of course this is not relevant to you if your family owns real estate on St.Kitts, however you can still benefit from the many great deals featured at local restaurants, such as the free ice cream with a children’s main course at Ballahoo Restaurant.
Kid friendly initiatives such as the ‘Kids are VIPs’ programs are one of the many reasons why visiting or owning real estate on St. Kitts is so much fun for everyone, no matter what your age is!
